Now after so many news of 5g coming to India in 2021, Govt. has approved the applications of ISPs to test 5g in India. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has given permission to telcos Reliance Jio , Bharti Airtel , Vodafone Idea and MTNL to conduct 5g trials in India. 6 months of time is alloted to companies to test the 5G technology on their network. The government has allowed telcos to use the OEMs( Original Equipment manufacturer ) of Samsung,  Ericsson,  Nokia and C- DoT. The Chinese OEMs Huawei and ZTE are not included in the approval list.
