Jio Phone Next announced in Reliance AGM 2021

Since launching of Jio in 2016 Indian technology is changed so much. That was the time when people have the Smartphones but are unable to use the data (Internet ) due to high prices from the telecom operators. Telecom operators like Airtel, Vodafone and Idea were charging too much for 1 GB data. But after the launch of jio everything changed. Data prices  were decreased and data speed increased. After that digital era of India started. Payments, games, banking, food ordering, shopping everything started online via smartphone. Jio was behind that digital revolution of India. Again since the start of 2020, there are rumours about 5G technology establishment around mid 2022. Jio was also ahead in that too. Jio said that they are ready for 5G technology, awaiting government's response to test the trials and 5G connectivity. 5G trails are permitted by government in May 2021.

In the Reliance Jio's 44th Annual General Meet held on 24 June 2021, there were many facts and information were announced about next  futere plans of Jio and Reliance. Among them the main talk of the news media is Jio Phone Next. Jio along with Google announced its cheapest 4G smartphone targeted for India's 2G feature phone users. Mukesh Ambani announced the Jio Phone Next which is going to launch on September 10 this year on Ganesh Chaturthi, as said by Jio. Also they announced Jio- Google cloud based services which are going to merge with Google. We are going to talk about what are the features of Jio Phone Next and Jio-Google Cloud Partnership. This phone is a move of Jio to transform your 2G users lf India fo use 4G and hence making Jio famkly more stronger. Currently Jio has 450 Million subscribers and there are 300 million 2G users. Jio is targeting them to buy their Sim card along with Jio Phone Next.

Indian languages availability in Google Assistant

Many of the Indian smartphone  users are not comfortable to speak or read the English language. Thanks to Google Assistant for its Interpreter mode. You can translate any language to your language by interpreter mode in real-time while listening the translation. Indian users may get that handy tool, cause India has 22 official languages and many more unofficial too. In Jio Phone Next Google and Jio's engineering team has worked hard to make better language detection. For users who might not be able to read content in their language, with a tap of a button they can now translate what’s on their screen, and even have it read back to them in their own language. Google has added app actions for Google Assistant  which can work with Jio apps in the Jio Phone Next. Goggle assistant can check your Jio balance and play  music on Jiosavvn just like getting scores and weather updates. Read aloud and translate feature of google assistant are Inbuilt in this device so you can access any language translation ery easily. Google Assistant can search apps and Settings in your device very easily including photos and files too.

Camera developed by Google

Today's smartphone users want a fast and better camera in any phones. High quality cameras are available now in many affordable smartphones. Google partnerd with Snapchat to bring a high quality photos experience with too many filter modes and effects. Google has optimised this phone's camera module to get high definition photos and videos. It said that basic features of photos like HDR mode which give wider colour and dynamic range in affordable smartphones is also included in Jio Phone Next. Along with that low-light photos or photos taken at night are also be well defined. There will be a good camera experience. We can expect this as Google Pixel phones have very good camera experience with users.

Latest features and Google Play updates 

Google said that in Jio Phone Next all the latest security updates will be ptovided by Google play store. They said that there will be a specially designed operating system for this phone but we can assume it like the Android Go. This phone will come out with Android 11 likely as rumours  suggest. Google is planning to expand its engineering team and business in India as it is a very large market for Android phones and many other Google products. Fhis phone is also designed specifically by many Google engineers to give a beter quality experience at an affordable price. This is good for both Google and Android mission for India. Google play protect is a best security and malware protection app for any android phones, with every security and protection India can and use this features at an affordable price. And with the Google Play Store, you will have access to millions of apps that people across the world use and enjoy.

Google and Jio's Cloud based partnership 

    "We’re delighted to share that Jio and Google Cloud are embarking on a new long-term, strategic partnership, independent of our investment in Jio Platforms Ltd, with a goal of powering 5G in enterprise and consumer segments in India. Jio will take advantage of Google Cloud’s scalable infrastructure and will also migrate many of their core businesses to Google Cloud." As said by Sundar Pichai the CEO of Google and Alphabet. Google Cloud’s deep expertise and innovation, combined with telco-specific capabilities for security, performance, and resilience, will help Jio’s 5G service to deliver high speed internet as demand for connectivity goes up. The two companies will collaborate to bring a portfolio of 5G edge computing solutions as Jio builds new services across many verticals including gaming, healthcare, education, and entertainment. These will be powered by Jio’s 5G network and Google Cloud’s innovations in AI/ML, data and analytics, and other cloud-native technologies. 

This new Cloud partnership will also see Reliance migrating its core retail businesses like Reliance Retail, JioMart, JioHealth, JioSaavn and others to Google Cloud’s infrastructure, taking advantage of Google’s AI/ML, ecommerce, and demand forecasting offerings. Leveraging the scalability of Google Cloud will increase reliability and performance, as well as enable these businesses to scale up to respond to customer demand.  Jio is partenering with Google's Cloud servive which will save data of Jio's everything 5G services and performance of services will increase too.We are deeply privileged to play a role in the next phase of India’s digital transformation and we look forward to working closely with Jio to share more on these developments in the months ahead.
